Before I left for Scotland a small lump appeared on my body that shouldn't have been there.  I had one day to visit the doctor who scheduled an appointment with a surgeon for the week I got back.   

I kept the appointment and found it was nothing to worry about.  

I'm grateful for doctors who don't shrug something off but err on the side of caution.  I had to postpone my trip to California so need to work out another time to see both my siblings.  

Meanwhile I reconnected with two dear friends who have serious health issues.  I feel like I have a piece of myself back after spending an evening with them.  

Saw others over the weekend to sing and play lots of music, and tested out my new Gibson fireside pipes. Need a little getting used to!  

Another visit upon my return afforded me a view of the stunning night blooming cereus pictured above.  Incredible.  

This week I get to have a night with the girls and go off to pick peaches on Sunday!
